The latest edition of “Arizona Fishin’ Holes,” which is probably the well-thumbed guide on this state’s fishing, is now available just in time for the great spring fishing.
“This is the third edition of this increasingly popular fishing guide. Even though we revised this book just a few years ago, all the copies quite understandably sold out. So we updated, revamped and reprinted Arizona Fishin’ Holes,” says Heidi Hougham, the department’s publications section supervisor.
Whether you are new to the state or just want the latest and greatest information on Arizona’s public fishing waters, this $6 fishing guide is great to have at home or in the glove box of your vehicle or boat. It is available at all Arizona Game and Fish offices in the state, you can order it online at azgfd.gov/publications or you can call (602) 942-3000 and order it over the phone (have your credit card handy).
This compact 6x9-inch guide to Arizona’s public fishing holes tells you all the basic information about each water, such as the species of fish, size and location of the fishery, what facilities are present (such as marinas), and what facilities are nearby.
“Arizona Fishin’ Holes” will also tell you about camping, restrooms, drinking water, stores, lodging, fuel, and even airports close by. It even has maps showing the location of the state’s most prominent public fishing waters.
This ready-reference guide to Arizona fishing is organized into distinct regions, just like the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s weekly fishing report at azgfd.gov. “Arizona Fishin’ Holes” and the weekly fishing report go hand-in-hand to provide anglers with all the latest information.
